ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari, who is also the Pakistan People's Party’s co-chairman, has summoned the meeting of the Central Executive Committee on December 26, 2008. The meeting will be held at Bhutto House in Naudero. Naudero (نوڈیرو) is a town and the Union Council of Ratodero Taluka in Larkana District, Sindh, Pakistan. After the assassination of PPP leader Benazir Bhutto on December 27, 2007, the 2008 General Elections were held in February of this year with much turmoil. The PPP has gained considerable merit over the years and won the most seats in the National Election, a total of 84 seats. Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari said that "Pakistan was on its way of ridding dictatorships forever", and appealed to the Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader, former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, to form a coalition controlling over half the seats in Pakistan's 342 seat parliament.
