There is a big craze of Indian films in Pakistan. Pakistani's are also very big follower of Indian television soaps and the Indian entertainment industry continues to enthral millions of Pakistanis. In the wake up of Mumbai terror attacks Indo-Pak ties have taken a dramatic turn for the better, a new genre of small screen gods and goddesses are being worshipped in Pakistan these days. But soon these programmes may off air in Pakistan.

The Senate Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting Monday recommended that the government immediately ban Indian Television channels in Pakistan.

According to sources, the committee asked the ministry of information and Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) to ban all Indian channels on cable in the country.
