Palin lies by dunkelberg

If you are a Friend of Palin (FOP), you are pretty busy these days trying to cover her tracks.

Just yesterday, GOP FOPs went to the courthouse to stop the "Troopergate" ethics investigation she said she welcomed and also vowed her cooperation.  Now, she has changed her mind.  More likely the Bush campaign thugs hired by McCain decided for her.  She is not going to cooperate, especially since her end run with her own investigation ran into a brick wall.

So, GOP FOPs, those folks who hate frivolous lawsuits and "activist" judges went to the courthouse to shut down a legislative investigation.  Why am I not surprised.  FOP Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) can understand why people shoot "activist judges", but apparently only those who rule against the GOP.

Sarah doesn't want to cooperate and her FOPs don't mind that one bit.

One of her FOPs - an Anchorage shock jock - called local anti-FOPs "maggots" and gave out their telephone numbers over the air, urging his listening FOPs to call.  The result was twofold.  Yes, it brought a torrent of obscene, ugly and threatening FOP calls to the women.  It also galvanized support and anti-Palin forces outnumbered the FOPs at the rally by about 15 to one.

Other FOPs try to convince us that pointing out how it is sexist to point out how Palin lied when she entered the campaign, lied in her convention speech and continues her lying.  Yep, FOPs think that saying Paling lied about the Bridge to Nowhere is sexist.  FOPs say that attacking her record as mayor is sexist.  FOPs say that pointing out Palin was on top of earmarks like a black fly on moose dung is sexist.

Mentioning that this "crusader for reform" embraced now indicted Alaska Republican Sen. Ted Stevens is sexist.  Reminding the world, FOPs say, that Palin was was a director of a shady Ted Stevens committee to raise corporate funds is sexist.  Showing the campaign ad where Stevens endorsed Palin (she is on the podium with him) is to strike a blow against womanhood, say the FOPs.

Once she said she had nothing to hide from the investigation into her own ethics problems.  Now, she's not so sure.  Maybe she took a closer look from behind her designer glasses.  FOPs will tell you the "you have nothing to fear if you are not guilty" argument they usually embrace does not apply here.  The Sarah is immune from investigation, so say the FOPs.

FOPs say that calling Sarah Palin a liar is sexist.   They don't tell you they can't defend her lies.

The most ludicrous FOP activity is invoking the name of Hillary Clinton.  Once she was the cursed Hillary, now, for purely partisan and hypocritical reasons, she is embraced by the FOPs, as they try to sell Palin as the Hillary alternative.  Heck, Palin isn't even Hillary-lite, no matter what the FOPs say.  Hillary has strongly resisted any of the FOPs embraces, hugs, kisses or butt slaps.  In fact, despite the FOPs' lies, Hillary is the light to Palin's darkness.

Then, there is John McCain and his lies.  First he has trouble deciding which side he is on (he recently resurrected his despised immigration bill).  He now is against abortion and for bank regulation (as of this writing).  He invents fantasy attacks by Obama on Palin.  FOP's pick up the call and charge forth.  FOP's don't care that it's untrue.

FOPs apparently share one thing with Sarah Palin - win at any cost.

Lying is one of those Ten Commandments which don't apply to celebrities in the Assemblies of God.

Adultery, even two counts of it, do not matter to the evangelical FOPs.  It doesn't apply when it is a FOP-certified celebrity.

FOPs can be expected to continue their lies, smears and delusional defenses of the McCain-Bush/Palin-Stevens ticket.

It is up to reasoning people to put their sholder to the wheel and counter the lies of McCain, Palin and their lock-stepping FOPs.
