Palin blames her campaign manager for Fannie-Freddie failure

I assume John McCain chose Sarah Palin as his vice-presidential partner in a fit of pique because the Republican money men refused to let him have the stuffed male shirt he really wanted. She added nothing to the ticket that the Republicans didn't already have sewn up, the white trash vote, the demographic that sullies America's name inside and outside its borders yet has such a curious appeal for the right.

So why do it?

It's possible that Republican men, sexual inadequates that they are, really believe that women will vote for a woman just because she's a woman. They're unfamiliar with our true natures. Do they think vaginas call out to each other in the jungle night? I mean, I know men have their secret meetings at which they pledge to do manly things, like being irresponsible with their semen and postponing household repairs with glue and used matches. Guys will be guys, obviously.

But do they not know that women have been trained to resent other women and that they only learn to suppress this by constantly berating themselves and reading columns like this one? I'm a feminist who understands that women can nurse terrible and delicate woman hatred.

Palin was not a sure choice, not even for the stolidly Republican ladies branch of Citizens for a Tackier America. No, she isn't even female really. She's a type, and she comes in male form too.

John Doyle, the cleverest critic in Canada, comes right out and calls Palin an Alaska hillbilly. Damn his eyes, I wish I'd had the wit to come up with it first. It's safer than "white trash" but I'll pluck safety out of the nettle danger. Or something.

Name-calling from Canada. The comments on the article trashed the author.

There is a far left wing in Canada as well.  My take on Canadians is the folks are wonderful.  I traveled the AL-Can in 1992 and found the folks great.  So my title is more a direct toward the writer.  Thanks for your flag.  Let me know how you did in the storm via e-mail or here.  Thanks

politisite, I like this story. It's good stuff.  Most Canadians have a healthy disrespect for the politicians on offer, whether in this country or outside it.  We, of course, have opinions about US politics because as former Prime Minister, Trudeau once said that Canada is like a mouse sleeping next to an elephant.  The US is an important ally and trading partner to us.  On a personal basis, I find the selection on offer from both your Democrats and Republicans pretty thin, and that is worrysome considering how the US is involved in foreign wars and general sabre rattling around the globe.

I do not think it is journalism when you use terms like that to describe political figures.  I think the wort thing I cal a Democrat is, "left leaning"

Sarah Palin is so completely white trash.  It's hilarious.  If you're outraged, then you have to face the fact that you're white trash too.  Palin looks a bit like a cheap whore, anyone can see that.  The CBC is right.

Criticizing Sarah Palin is like shooting Moose in a barrel.  You can call her a liar, opportunistic, full of hubris, vindictive and a host of other things borne out by her record.

To resort to derogatory stereotypes is not only wrong and uncalled for, but unnecessary. Lastly, I don't believe this report "Special to the CBC" is official CBC opinion, just as I don't belive the pro-Palin Anchorage shock jock who called anti-Palin organizers "socialist, baby-killing maggots" was expressing the view of KBFX.

Just caught a photo of Heather whatsername of the CBC and the Palin supporter=trash fame. Certainly no chance of that Heather thing being compared to a porn star. Wow! That is some ugly dried up old piece of Canadian leftovers. NON??
How tiresome ot hear a woman let all their jealousy and pathetic envy loose in one column. Note to Heather; We American's love Sarah Palin and we can't stand you. Get over yourself.

Of course there are those of us who have lived in Canada and are aware of the CBC as the tax payer supported repository for over the hill, never really could make it anywhere else, dried up, prune mouthed, sexually challanged feminist has beens that populate the CBC., No self restpecting journalist would take a job at the CBC EXCEPT a far left latte liberal content in the soul destroying confines of a bureaucratic and BORING TV and (fergodsake STILL hackneyed )radio company.
Now that you have had your moment of fame ( not even 15 minutes on fox) you can crawl back in your CBC union controlled cubicle and continue knashing your teeth and battling that menopausal dyspepsia til another "brilliant " idea is suggested to you by someone and you can have that last shot at being somebody. Because except for the CBC, you are so over.

If a "journalist" were to write "People who vote for Obama are niggers", that would effectively end their career and probably result in lynchings. But that statement is no different that the one that this "journalist" wrote. The media is loosing more credibility every day, and the average thinking person can see the obvious bias that is being displayed. Since when did the media stop being a news reporting medium and start becoming a tool for left wing extremists.

Though it *is* interesting that, during the most important election of my lifetime, the media is busying itself with name calling. Keep your eye on the ball...

I think you are mistaken about Sarah Palin.  I think she offers a huge amount to McCain's capaign that no white man could offer! I think we will see more clearly how she is likely to appeal to the rednecks and other disenfranchised Americans that have little time for Washington and all its shenanigans.  I personally support Obama but I think he may have been seriously disadvantaged by McCain's choice of Palin,.  But we shall see in the results!

HAHAHAHA

Does this mean that obama has the ghetto trash vote locked up?

Palin is a sick joke here in the USA, except to the 23% Bible thumpkin, 6000 year old planet, pro-lifin, hick, hillbilly, white trash that dot the country. The other 77% see her for what she is, a stupid, mean, racist, hateful, unskilled piggy.

Now I like THAT generalization.    It seems that 97% of black voters went for Obama, but try to understand "this wasn't racial, of course".

Interestingly Obama won all the "swing states" by about 200,000 or less... no more.    That was the same amount of votes that the far-left supported so-called "COMMUNITY ORGANIZER" group called "ACORN" produced in voter registrations that were deemed highly suspect in the state of Ohio.  We need the "church lady" to comment on this:   "Isn't that specialllllllllll!"

Well, PJC27, I guess you hate COUNTRY MUSIC and its stars, NASCAR and its stars, all religion lumped-into-one(?),  and unborn babies?

If she's stupid, mean, hateful and unskilled and a piggy, she couldn't be anymore that than YOU are yourself (by your attitude.    I don't recall anyone thinking she was racist, and I don't call her a "piggy" by any means, compared to Hillary.    Think about it.

That's the kind of folks that ACORN was busy signing up, by the millions.   Obama was a "COMMUNITY ORGANIZER" which is what ACORN says they do.   Great experience for the presidency,  better than being a governor, right?
