Concourse C at the Palm Beach Airport Has Been Reopened After a Bomb Scare

According to WPTV a threatening phone call was made to the Palm Beach International Airport and Concourse C was evacuated as a precaution.

JetBlue flight 366 bound for New York was also evacuated and passenger Gigi Brooks spoke to WPTV about what it was like to be on board the plane at that time:

She says the plane was getting ready to take off when the pilot said everyone had to get off the plane. They were told to leave their luggage behind.

She says the plane is "swarming" with sheriff's deputies and bomb-sniffing dogs. She says no one is being allowed in or out of the concourse.

Concourses A and B were not affected, but the security scare has now been lifted and although it may take some time to get back to normal, the bomb scare has now passed.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said someone called in a bomb threat Monday, prompting the evacuation of Concourse C. Authorities said a JetBlue flight was evacuated and the luggage on the plane was searched. JetBlue officials said 145 passengers on board flight 366, scheduled to depart from PBIA at 6:30 p.m. en route to New York's LaGuardia Airport, were removed from the plane and returned to the terminal.
