A PATH Train struck a bumping block at the 33rd Street station in New York City. Bumping blocks are those barriers that denote the end of a track. Some passengers were slightly injured in the incident.

West 33rd between 6th and 7th Avenues was closed as the incident was investigated. The PATH Train (Port Authority Trans-Hudson) is the light rail that supplements the NYC mass-transit system, bringing in commuters from Newark, Hoboken and Jersey City, New Jersey.

It was unclear how fast the train was traveling at the time of the collision with the block but it is believed it was barely moving. The spokeswoman called the incident "a bump."

Some reports were that as many as 10 passengers had been injured. Officials could not verify that number.
