NP Rank:
Pastor Beaten And Tased By Arizona Border Patrol
A shocking description of state terrorism is emerging via a you tube video by pastor Steven Anderson. The story is as yet unconfirmed.
I believe the video needs to be watched, in it the pastor explains in his own words the atrocities that the guards inflicted upon him, he even gives the names of the perpetrators.
A man who grew up in Sacramento is now sharing a traumatic story on the internet. He is a pastor who says he was beaten for exercising his constitutional rights.
"I'm crying out for mercy, they are torturing me with tasers again and again," says Pastor Steven Anderson.
This was a graphic description on YouTube.
Pastor Steven Anderson claims he was tortured during a common border patrol stop in Arizona.
Anderson grew up in Sacramento and was active at the Regency Baptist Church. His father who lives in Roseville is outraged over his son's treatment.
Maybe the guys who who beat and tased him were operating under advice of counsel? (But seriously, I bet it’s only a matter of time before Fox or someone says this is proof that Obama is Hitler or something.)
Don’t use this as a model with how to deal with a traffic stop: If law enforcement tell you you’re under arrest - which must have happened at some point, although when isn’t clear - one should get out of the car if told to. Or even if told to before arrest. Sue them later. (It’s ok to ask if one is required to do so or if one is free to go. But if the officer says you’re required to comply, do so - and get their name.)

This has been happening to Black men for decades. Now it's happening to whites.......

Hey, it could be worse. He could have gotten OC sprayed. Anyone who's experienced both will tell you OC is about 10x worse. Unfortunately, while the Border Patrol currently has an experiemental tazer program going on right now with a few select agents carrying tazers in the field, the vast majority of agents right now are only authorized to carry OC spray. I can tell you right now that if this guy's claiming that he was tazed by Border Patrol (and he saw this happen apparently while his hands covered his eyes, by the way) and then he remembers a border patrol agent stepping on his head(how can you see someone who's on top of you stepping on your head?). I'll grant to you that the Border Patrol are mean sons of bitches, and they don't mess around when they feel like you might be a threat to their safety. But I'm quite sure it was DPS who tazed the man, and pulled him out of the vehicle. If you have seen this guys previous videos (in which, he provokes agents by yelling and citing the 4th amendment over and over again stating that they can not search him because he lives in the United STates of America) you'll understand why he can be viewed as a threat.
I find it odd that he wasn't recording this particular encounter when he has recorded at least one that I know of in the past. This pastor claims there were cameras recording the whole thing, I'd like to see the footage.

If this guy didn't have the title of "Pastor" to hide behind we wouldn't even be discussing this. Its simple, a Border patrol dog allerted to the vehicle at the border patrol checkpoint as it was comming up to the stop sign. The agents directed the driver aka "Pastor" to a secondary inspection area, but it was buisness as usual for the pastor who taunts both federal agents and state police agencies throught the country (see his multiple u-tube videos). The pasture fails to obide by the agents comands and leaves his vehicle parked and blocking interstate 8. This pastor refuses to move, roll his window down, unlock his door or move to the secondary inspection area for an hour. AZ DPS is called to assist with the situation. The DPS officers arrive with the knowledge that a vehicle was alerted to by a K-9, the vehicle was blocking a major interstate, and the driver was failing to obey agents commands. A k-9 alerting to a vehicle is "Probable Cause" to search a vehicle. DPS Officers give the driver a "lawfull" order to step out of the vehicle. driver disobeys a direct, and lawfull order of a police officer. the officer lets the driver know they will have to break the window to remove him from the vehicle. driver still refuses to budge. passenger side window is broken by DPS and drivers side window by border patrol. the driver is physically removed from the vehicle by border patrol. its evident he was tazed in the process and his head was cut from glass. notice he claimed to have been beaten and tortured. he was ever excited to show the cuts to his head and the tazer burns, but where were the bruises from being hit, or kicked. i'm sure he would have showed them, but the simple fact is that he wasn't beaten. This pastor was emmediately tended to at the scene for his cuts, and then taken to a hospital. This pastor is anti law enforcement, and it's clearly evident from his u-tube videos. I'ts my opinion that this guy has finally reached the outcumb he's been looking for (lawsuit). I bet the border patrol video of the event and pastor's personal video of the event will show a long drawn out situation that law enforcement attempted to resolve without force (over an hour), and that officials were left with no alternative option but to physically take this criminal into custody. The pastor was tended to imediately at the scene for the cuts to his head. To hear this pastor lie about the facts, and leave out important details of the occurance is upsetting. I feal bad for the agents, and officer who were put in this disgusting situation by this criminal. I guess they could have looked the other way. Is that what we expect police to do, to look the other way.

Personally I don't live in the USA, so I don't know too much about border patrols, DPS and interstates, but there are a few questions still in my mind.
You should disregard the Pastors "you tube" rants.
When he arrived at the border crossing he was a free American citizen, unwanted by the police for anything and what the pastor does when he gets home or what he believes in is nothing to do with you, me or this story.
Why does America have internal border control checkpoints? I was always told that it was the land of the free. I understand the pastors protest and stance, don't you?
The situation could have been handled better, for example:
Why didn't the border patrol guards just tie a rope around the pastor's front bumper and tow his car off the interstate and into a compound?
When there are so many officials and just one stroppy pastor, why did they see the need to smash two of the pastors windows and then proceed to tazer the guy?
Perhaps the border patrol just wanted to test out the new tazers for real.
A darkened night, a stroppy pastor, mates at work, they are the perfect factors required for potential abuse.
And don't forget, the search of the pastors vehicle produced nothing illegal.

Here is an important detail, the dog alerted to NOTHING. Nothing was found during the search. What is more likely here, the dog alerting or the Border Patrol making up a story about the dog alerting?

Exceptions to the Warrant and Probable Cause Requirements
1. The "Automobile Exception" The most commonly-applied exception to the warrant requirement is the "automobile exception," which provides that, if law enforcement officers have probable cause to believe that anautomobile contains incriminating evidence or contraband, a warrantless seizure of the car (and its driver), search of the car, and ultimate seizure of such items are permitted under the Fourth Amendment.11 Officers need not believe that there are "exigent circumstances" justifying the warrantless search; the mere fact that they possess probable cause to believe that contraband or evidence is inside the vehicle is sufficient.12 This exception has been extended to apply to mobile homes and boats, so long as such vehicles are "readily capable" of being made "movable." Police officers' right to search vehicles without a warrant pursuant to the "automobile exception" does not cease once the vehicle has been impounded by the police.California v. Acevedo, 500 U.15 S. 565 (1991); see also United States v. Ross, 456 U.S.at 21:08 on August 18th, 2009
The exception is based on probable cause. They claim the dog alerted thereby giving them probable cause. However, dog don't alert to nothing and NOTHING was found.

Welcome to the USSA ladies and gentlemen! A search is warranted just because some overzealous pig says he is suspicious and believes he will find something inside. You assert your rights and ask WHY and get your rear end beat down and repeatedly tased, and this is all done in the name of national security. get real America. the KGB is next people, and you're all too dumb to step up and stop it. land of the free and home of the brave my rear end! F*what the USA is becoming as well as the PIGS that terriorize it!

Anderson is a racist, sexist, homophobic psycho. Don't believe his phony Mr. Innocent routine.
Here's a link to a sermon about immigration on his church website. Save it to your computer. Fox News is already trying to use this little jerk to demonize Latinos. Please help me get the word out. Also, there are more sermons on his site, with a scary one about the president.
