Patrick Trainor Found in a Car Pulled Out from Retention Pond

The body of Patrick Trainor (Pat Trainor) was found on Wednesday afternoon in a car that was pulled out of a retention pond. Patrick Trainor, a Purdue student, went missing on Sunday March 21.

Police monitored surveillance videos, and found that Trainor's car entered the neighborhood but never left. Patrick Trainor's 1999 electric green Ford Mustang was found in the retention pond inside the gated community of Breakwater in Fishers.

The pond was near the party where 19-year-old Patrick Trainor attended on Saturday night, where he was last seen alive.

Police found no tire tracks leading from the road to the pond.

A Facebook group was set up to aid the search of Patrick Trainor, but now it has become a place for family and friends to remember him.

A candlelight vigil will be held at Purdue University for Patrick Trainor. It will take place at the Sagamore Ridge Apartments at 2501 Soldiers Home Road, from 7:30 p.m.

Trainor was driving his 1999 electric green Ford Mustang that night. Police say the license plate on the car found in the pond matches his vehicle.
The vehicle was found 30 yards off the bank in about 10 feet of water.
