Self-confessed liar Paul Burrell is said to be close to a nervous breakdown following his betrayal of Princess Diana at the quasi-inquest that finished days ago in London.

His friends in Florida say that Burrell has become a recluse since his notorious ‘testimony’ at the quasi-inquest and subsequent savaging at the hands of coroner Lord Justice Scott-Baker who said Burrell was a “shabby liar”.

And now it seems that Burrell cannot cope with what he has done and the way in which he betrayed Diana and has fallen into a deep depression. But it is hard to understand why he is so depressed given the fact that Scott-Baker has decided not to report him to the police on the grounds of perjury.

Anyone who knows the old school network who run the British Establishment could have predicted Burrell would not be prosecuted for perjuring himself before the world, after all, he admitted making a deal with Queen Elizabeth II to withhold ‘certain details’ from the jury. And to this day Burrell will not explain what the Queen told him about the activities of British Intelligence.

So it would seem that Burrell has much to be “depressed” about: If he opens his mouth and tells the world what he really knows, he will be targeted by the British Establishment for the same type of ‘tragic accident’ that killed his former boss. Burrell knows only too well what is at stake and that it is why he decided to lie in the interests of what he called the “bigger picture”.

In effect, he has saved the Monarchy from disaster at the quasi-inquest but now the British people hate him and want to see him stand trial for perjury. But Burrell is safe because the British Establishment will not risk a criminal trial and run the bigger risk of more secrets leaking into the public domain….

There was never any chance at all that Bluffer Burrell would be prosecuted and he was aware of this fact having made his dirty deal with the Monarch to save her tarnished Crown. But justice works in many varied ways and Burrell is now getting his comeuppance; his guilt is eating him alive for having betrayed the People’s Princess in such a “shabby” manner and he deserves no pity at all from the public.

And in a few months’ time Australia will hold a Referendum on the Monarchy and polls suggest that upwards of 60 per cent of Australians will vote to scrap the Monarchy and become a Republic. It seems clear that it is all downhill from here for the British Monarchy and if Australia becomes a Republic it is likely Canada will follow suit and then New Zealand.

When the British Monarchy finally collapses there will be no one to protect Burrell and then maybe the truth will be known about what he withheld from the public and indeed what really happened to Princess Diana on 30/31 August 1997….
