The 700 billion USD bank rescue was about passing legislation to help TARP: Troubled Asset Recovery Program. Since then Sec. Paulson has changed his mind.  Paulson addressed the latest plan for the government's rescue package that was appropriated for the Troubled Asset Recovery Program (TARP). Paulson said the mortgage-purchase plan had been abandoned in favor of buying stock in troubled banks.

What this means is that instead of giving the money as it was intended to rescue banks from the Mortgage Crisis, they are now using the money as Investment Money to give to Banks that have so called good stock value. They claim they are buying stock in troubled Banks, but what they are doing is putting the money into stocks that are doing well in those troubled banks..to boost their performance with a hope that more economic activity will further promote those stocks.

They are now claiming TARP is an illusion, and just let them fuddle f- out of existence. It is kind of like how they reacted to the Katrina...disaster..Forget about putting more money into Lousiana when they know it will be like throwing money away....when another impending Katrina II happens again in the future.

What is troubling is that this money was passed to help the Bad Mortgages, and is being diverted into Stocks.."This in my view is against the Law" and the intended use of the money. They are also trying to use that money to help the failing Auto Industry.

And what does the happy news say about this... meaning President elect Obama? Absolutely nothing...in fact he supports this? He supported the rescue package...but he has said nothing about what Paulson is doing now.  http://abcnews.go.com/Business/story?id=6241003&page=1

Paulson has added more debt to an already heavily indebted American Economy, and is now abandoning the purpose used;  to create more of that debt, to buy stocks. This is no rescue package but an investment heist.

Put money in said good stocks? Who is to determine who has the good stocks, except the guys who support the robbery going on here? They need to give the money back to the people, and have another session that defines what money we need to help the economy.

Are you listening Henry? I am going to spell it out...loud and clear....

We need a Crafted Legislated Bill that will create jobs for the people. Our trouble is lack of energy at affordable costs, so people can go to work, and the work place can still make a profit instead of doling out their profits to energy companies. This gets America working again...and people can see a light to where they can live and buy a home to stay in the community.

The new Bill will provide money to put forward toward Geothermal Drilling throughout each and every State in the USA. Geothermal is 24-7 Secure Energy. Nonpolluting, which is Global Warming Friendly. It costs less than using Nuclear Energy, and can be immediately used in comparison to using wind and solar. We drill toward the core of the earth to reach the hot zone..and we send water down in encased pipe which circulates back as steam...which can be accumulated into pressure for various speeds of electric output.

The good about this is we can also use this idea to get rid of TAXES forever. If we drill say 5 Geothermal Wells per State in the USA....2.5 of the revenue generated from them can  go for Government expenditures, instead of using taxes to tax people, use electricity payments to pay for government expenses. This would pay for healthcare, and government salaries. There will always be a balance so electric rates can not go up.. Always remember electric rates will never have a low supply, because inside the core is earth fusion going on...a never ending supply. This is good news not only for the USA but for the entire world.

The other 2.5 Geothermal Plants in the State can go to the Private Sector, who can use their money...as incoming revenue to help the failed Banks. What a great way to get rid of taxes forever.

ENERGY is FIRST Henry. You need to get work going, to bring up Geothermal Sites so revenue starts coming in. I am telling you this will work....SO . LISTEN TO ME.

We get more electric flowing this means jobs for the Automobile Industry, who will design new cars that are either hybrid or fully electric.  We can have trains that can run on electric power.

This also means truck drivers will have new local delivery jobs, so drivers can be home with their families instead of on the road all the time. They pick their loads up from the Trains that use Electric Power.

What we Americans do is have Domestic America run on Geothermal Energy, and your military use the Oil. You guys are so paranoid...so keep the oil for your military.....

You need to give the 700 Billion back and do another bill that creates jobs for the people. Better to show good will to the people....so the plan not only helps your bank pals, but also the people you are strapping debt onto. What you are proposing with the 700 billion is Recession, and anomosity...People are gearing up to fight you tooth and nail over this.

So whatever change you are proposing by putting the money into Bank Stock..is still no solution...You are breaking the law. You need to return the 700 billion...and have another legislation session; supported by President Obama.....and you do what I have told you.
