Every time British businessman Robert Charlton cheated on his wife, he bought her some extravagant jewelry to try to make amends. After 26 years of marriage, long-suffering Elizabeth Charlton had more than 40 glittering pieces.Charlton's infidelity cost him nearly 300,000 pounds ($492,400)

This is certainly not a usual
arrangement in a marriage
but it seems tro have worked
for this couple in Engfland. It
was expensive for the husband.
Most wives would probably
have filed for a divorce and then
tried to get even more money.

It amazes me what some wives put up with if I were her I would have gotten a great divorce attorney the first time and went and bought all the diamonds I wanted with the settlement, then found a good man to spend the rest of my life with.
