18-year-old Thomas Anthony Proniuk allegedly injured six people with a pellet gun on Monday, hiding in and firing from some bushes near Burnaby Mountain secondary school. He then used a canister of bear spray on a bus driver who tried to confront him. Proniuk is to be charged with 23 criminal offences.
Thomas Anthony Proniuk was arrested after allegedly firing the pellet gun and then pepper-spraying a Coast Mountain bus driver who tried to stop him. [...] Proniuk is charged with wearing a mask while intending to commit an indictable offence, two counts of possession of a weapon, pepper spray, for a purpose dangerous to the public peace for the purpose of committing an offence, one count of using an imitation firearm in an assault, eight counts of committing assault with the pellet gun, five counts of assault with pepper spray and six counts of discharging a compressed gas gun with intent to wound, maim or disfigure.

Agreed...I was kind of surprised though at the number of charges, does it seem relatively high to have all come from a single incident?

Hopefully this young man can get some help, it seems that he was crying out for help seeing as the incident occured in his own neighbourhood.

he was troubled in the past weeks, and lashed out, nobody would help him, no one could, it's a mistake he's regretting already, had he been sober, he would have been about to restrain his emotions

I knew Thomas, since elementary school. He once threatned my friends mom saying he could kill theere whole family if he wanted t. This youth is going to be a fucked up kid when he is older. He was obviously looking for attention when doing this crime. Hopefully he wil learn a lesson, and not do something so stupid again.
