Nancy Pelosi for President?

Finally Nancy Pelosi says what is she feels without regard of needing to protect her words of the President of the United States. After all America and americans have felt it for years.

President George W. Bush 'a total failure' who 'has no ideas,' in an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer CNN Interview . CNN'S Video

"You know, God bless him, bless his heart, president of the United States, a total failure, losing all credibility with the American people on the economy, on the war, on energy, you name the subject," Pelosi replied. She then said Bush was a failure for "challenging Congress when we are trying to sweep up after his mess over and over and over again."

Ms Pelosi, 68, said the House and Senate were busy 'trying to sweep up after (Bush's) mess over and over and over again ... The president knows it. He needs something to talk about. Because he has no ideas.'

'So he's going out there, he even has the nerve to say the economy would be better off if we could drill in protected areas offshore,' she said, adding the Democrats' proposal to free up the US strategic petroleum reserve, which she said is 91.5 per cent full.

(Opinion)  Now that it been said will Impeachment hearings proceed at an unpresidented rate on the house floor and not behind closed doors. Is this what Congress needed to hear to push this President out of office before is term is over.

everchanging, I like this story. It's good stuff. Well, I do agree with her on not drilling in protected areas of Shore!

Thanks for the flag, Protection of "nature should always be first," look what we have already done to to many place on the planet because of the desire or need for materials for consumption (of any form) in our past and present. I am glad you pointed that out Paschen. Sadly we do not realize the effect and damage done until its to late to repair or bring back to some state normalcy of what it once was.

President Bush will be remembered in history as the man who saved western civilization from the Islamofascist terrorists.  Nancy Pelosi will be forgotten as the inept leader of a do-nothing and obstructionist Congress.

Going with your assumption the left is wrong, I do not think Geo.W will be the one that history vindicates. More likely the ones vindicated would be Dick Cheney, Condi Rice, Colin Powell and a whole host of Neo Cons from the first administration who have since jumped ship or been driven into the private sector. Bush is just not the visionary or heavy-lifting mentalist that could pull it off.

Personally I don't think they were right about Iraq and think everything they did worked to destabilize the entire area. Further, my guess is that the whole bunch of them will end up charged by the World Court for war crimes and/or crimes against humanity inside of a decade. They'll end up like Henry Kissinger, unable to go to certain countries without risking being snatched and taken to secret locations to be held for trial.

There is one thing we can agree on here though - Nancy Pelosi ought be consigned to the dustbin of history. She hasn't been helpful at all. (A further rant on her is at Moonwolf's comment).

Thank you for the comment, Mikasi. Ten years is to long for me, but if thats what it takes - I'll accept it.

Joellerose, thanks for the comment. A quick summary to your comment - Bush did not save Western Civilization from these terrorists (as you call them, see below) he and the past U.S. policies and directors of policies, where the creators of these groups - either outright or by doing so inveterately. "It would take an comet coming to striking the earth and bush (somehow) preventing it from happening (via U.S. military tools or ?) to come out this a hero in my eyes." In other words an impossible miracle for saving himself from what writers of history they have already began to place as his legacy as a President during his terms, which is not looking pretty. (the acts he has done against America and the world.)

Now Pelosi - I agree w/ you on some of it. although she's no better up to this point in time, she still has a choice of doing nothing and getting what you believe as a result. ON the other hand "IF" she was to continue stepping up and bring congress to push forward the Impeachment issue upon bush and chaney. She may have a chance to some degree of a less punishable action then treason (like bush & chaney) for her own actions while in office. She still has a chance to turn it around - Bush nor Chaney do not.

I do not agree on your thought of Bush saving the U.S. from the Islamofascist terrorists as you call them.

I will agree that their was groups of individuals that where "PRE-9/11" and these groups had a dislike or hatred for the U.S. These groups where a threat of some degree and where watched, being tracked and known - Where and why where these groups formed by these individuals in the first place, can you answer this? I can in part answer the question from the understand I have on this. These groups where formed because of the policy and promises the U.S. (and Israel) had put about in their countries and the middle-east as a whole that effected their lively-hoods and those of their forefathers although nothing like the "post-9/11" propaganda that was created by the pentiqon and parts of this current Administration

everchanging, I like this story. It's good stuff.  The only comment here, is where is the most ethical congress in history?  Did you ever drain the swamp?  why has congressional approval numbers gonbe down since you took the Gavel?  If Bush is such the failure, then why is his approval numebers 4x higher then yours? Wow 4x worse then the PRESIDENT.  Maybe the Augusta Vaction isn't coming soon enough.   I thought it took a woman to clean up the house?  Earmarks have doubled.  Money that could have went to finding solutions to the energy crisis.  But no.  No lifting of the drilling ban because the old chant, "your not drilling on the millions of acres we leased to you.  OK Nancy, lets put it this way, lets say you dug a whole and there was no oil, would you dig again because you have a lease?  Oil compnaies lease millions of peices of Land and only a small percentage is productive.  If there was oil everywhere, I am drilling in my backyard.  Also, Earmarks for everyone.  Something you said you would fix.  Bless your heart.  Its sad to say, By Speaker, you are a failure 4 x the magnituide of President Bush.

I ike your story and well done.  Please don't take my comments as directed at the writer, you, you know my firiend.  This is about the content.

I for one just hope that the next President actually fills the job. He definitely has his work cut out for him.

No matter what people say, everyone will have to admit at least to themselves, even if it's behind closed doors and in the dark, that this past presidency has been nothing less than completely disastrous.

It's actually impossible to be unbiased with regards to the Bush Administration.

It's too bad the election isn’t tomorrow. It would put a stop to future mishaps we all know will be caused by the current government.

Just my opinion. Throw all the flames you want...I'm wearing a fire proof gazooni suit! ;o)

You can take of the fire retardant gear, unless you need it for some other comment you placed on here. Thanks Mike for the comment.

There's no doubt that the "next" president has their work cut out for them. I hope that the American citizen realize this, what this person will be up against after the current administration leave office and can & will allow them a little leeway which doing their best to fix things.

No company or business in the world would have allowed a CEO to take over and run it in this manner if there's a board of trustees, share holder or stock holds thought it was losing profit, equity, Customer convinced and reliability like we have seen by this administration. Congress needs to be accountable for this administration & is just as much to blame for the course america has gone. America has no checks and balance system at this time and has not since before the vote of 2000.

America has Laws that its citizen are requested and required to up hold, abide by and if broken and caught by the Authorities for that action (law). Then they accountable by the law via the books that govern our justice system within America. These Individuals within our American government are braking laws and are "suppose" to be accountable rather they're in office or not if the laws where done while in office.
