People have asked me why I can no longer cross the border from Canada to the USA and I always tell them why. Looking through my news articles I remembered a comment on a news article about it that I wanted to share.....

It was bad enough when our government decided a Canadian psychotherapist could no longer visit his children and colleagues in the U.S. because he used psychedelics in the '60s (before it was an illegal substance, and only during laboratory testing under the care of other doctors ). Now U.S. Customs and Border Protection is preventing a Canadian woman, Glendene Grant, from crossing the border to seek police help in finding her daughter, who apparently was kidnapped in Las Vegas last year and may be the victim of a human trafficking ring. Grant was convicted of marijuana possession two decades ago. I guess us American citizens can feel safer now that they are kept from us - oh, and I bet Jessie's kidnappers feel safer too! Enough said. . .
