"Person Of Interest" In Annie Le's Case, Autopsy Not Released
[UPDATE]:
A "person of interest" has been identified in the case, but police are not saying who this person is.
The results of the autopsy were not released today and will remain private.
Today, more light has been shed on the suspect in the murder case of the 24-year-old Yale graduate student Annie Lee. As of now, it is believed that the suspect is a lab technician who presented defensive wounds on their chest and failed a polygraph (lie detector) test. These reports are not being confirmed by the police, however. What the police is saying is that no arrest would be made today. No one is in custody in connection with this case right now. But, the police said Monday that the case was not a random act and that no students were involved in the case. They also said Le's fiance is not a suspect and that a "large amount" of physical evidence is currently being analyzed.
The autopsy results will be released today at 3 PM ET, potentially disclosing the cause of death.
Several news organizations reported that police were interviewing a possible suspect who failed a polygraph test and has defensive wounds on his body. Avery denied those reports.
ABC News, WNBC-TV, The New Haven Register and the New Haven Independent cited anonymous sources in their reports. The Register and WNBC-TV also identify the possible suspect as a lab technician.
Last night, Yale held a candlelight vigil in Le's memory.

Le was last seen on a Yale security camera entering the building in the university's medical complex at about 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Authorities have not found footage of her leaving the building, despite some 75 surveillance cameras operating around the complex. Her ID, money, credit cards, cell-phone and purse were found in her office in another Yale building a few blocks away. Hopefully, the police can identify the creep that caused her to die from traumatic asphyxiation, and said creep can't get enough fast cash to get a lawyer that can get him off.
