Philippines: Mancao affidavits "Plot to destroy Erap & Ping"
The affidavits written by Mancao are seen by the opposition as an influenced move by the Arroyo government. A plot to destroy the undeniable strength of 2 of opposition presidentiables.
Lacson believes Mancao was pressured by Malacañang to implicate him in the murders.
He said Malacañang had been seriously looking for ways to prevent him from exposing corruption in government, and implicating him to the Dacer-Corbito murders could be one of those desperate attempts.
Estrada, for his part, said he is being tagged in his compadre's murder to discredit him following rumors that he is planning to run in the 2010 presidential election.
Lacson claimed Mancao had revealed to him last year that he is being pressured by the Philippine government.
He said Brig. Gen. Romeo Prestoza, chief of the Intelligence Service Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP), had called Mancao in September last year, offering to reinstate the former police colonel to the service in exchange for testifying on the case.
“Whatever this is, I am an enemy of Malacañang… I exposed all these, so I am not surprised that they are getting back at me,” he said.
Both Ex President Joseph Estrada and Senator Lacson are considered to be strong Opposition contenders for the Presidential seat in the 2010 Philippine elections.

Accdg. to lacson, malacanang has been looking for ways to prevent him from exposing corruption in government. now let us analyze what lacson is saying? and how lacson is trying to brainwash the minds of filipino people. by the way, filipinos are not stupid!
1. Even if malacanang accuse lacson's involvement of all untrue evil crimes, nothing will still stop lacson from exposing alleged corruption in government. right?
2. In a way, it only means to say that lacson knows he's guilty as one of the masterminds in this murder case, but his conscience won't bother him, that's why he has to blame government for it.

i think what he was trying to say is that he will lose his credibility and if he loses his credibility less people will believe him which will then make his "efforts" to expose corruption futile even if he tries..
