Phuong Le, Missing Nurse Found Dead Along Napa County Road
Phuong Le, the Missing Nurse From Solano College, Has Been Found Dead Along the Side of a Rural Road in Napa County
Phuong Le has been missing for two weeks, but when a body was found along the side of a deserted road in Napa County last Friday, friends and family worried that it was the body of the nursing graduate.
Their worst fears have now been confirmed and police have identified the remains as those of 23-year-old Phuong Le. The body was found by a woman walking her dog, but police have not said what condition the body was in or how Phuong Le died.
Fairfield police Lt. Darrin Moody said Tuesday that investigators used fingerprints to identify the body and said no suspects have been identified but that they are classifying the death as a homicide.
She went missing April 25 after recently graduating from the Solano College Nursing Program, and was last scene outside a Barnes and Noble in Fairfield.
About a week ago police did search the home of Phuong's former employer and boyfriend Tchu Nguyen, but did not turn up any clues. There were rumors that Phuong was pregnant, but police denied those rumors.
On May 3 police did arrest a man who had sent text messages to Phuong's brother Huong, and he said he knew where Phuong was located, but it turns out he was just 'playing around' and just saw the story on the news.
