The Place Where Life Hangs in the Balance: Pray for Lucas Holko.

In 1962 I was 12, and was walking away from a little league baseball game- and was struck and knocked unconscious by a line drive foul ball.

My heart stopped.

So did my breathing.

A coach rushed over.

He  pounded on my chest and gave me mouth to mouth resuscitation.

An ambulance was called and I was taken to the hospital.

I was unconscious for three days.

I didn't know, or feel anything.

It was as if someone had just turned off a light switch

And my life was over.

But then...

Someone, something, turned  the switch on again.

Miracles do happen.

I am now sixty

And I have survived something so rare

That I have only heard of it happening one other time,

Until now.

A couple of years ago a baseball player,

who wasn't playing,

Was hit in the same way.

And he died.

I lived, but he died.

Now what happens to only one in millions and millions has happened again.

This time to a four year old boy named Lucas.

His life is hanging in the balance.

That family is not asking for money,

just for your prayers.

And as someone, one of only three out of millions and millions who this has happened to...

I ask for your prayers for him also.

Miracles do happen.

I am sixty now.

But I could have been dead at twelve...

From something so strange as a simple foul ball.

The little boy is four.

Please take just a moment

Out of your hurried life...

and pray for him.

And go to www.helpluke.com

to send him your love

And his parents a word of encouragement.

I did.

Because I was given a second chance.

I came back from the place

Where you hang in the balance.

And I want him to as well.

Thank you God for sparing me

All those years ago.

And if it be your will...

Spare this child as well.
