The Plagiarizing Ticket: Obama & Biden

I think we all remember when Obama plagiarized a part of a speech from a friend just a couple of months ago. If not, here's a little bit of the story.

During a news conference here, Mr. Obama said he and Mr. Patrick “trade ideas all the time.” Asked if he should have given credit to Mr. Patrick, he said, “I’m sure I should have,” but he said he doubted that voters were concerned by the dust-up.

“I’m happy to give Deval credit, as I give to a lot of people for spurring all kinds of ideas,” he said. “But I think it’s fair to say that everything we’ve been doing and generating excitement and the interest that people have had in the elections is based on the core belief in me that we need change in America.”

So who else should be his running mate other than fellow plagiarist Joe Biden!

In an article entitled “Biden’s Belly Flop”, Newsweek printed Joe Biden’s yearbook picture from his college days and a copy of his law school transcripts with the big “F” in his transcripts circled. Biden was given a chance to repeat his legal methods course, and above the “F” his retake grade of 80% was eventually penciled in. Being a repeat offender when it came to plagiarism made things much, much worse for Biden than they might have been otherwise in his failed bid for the Democratic presidential ticket in 1987.

Senator Biden’s plagiarism of a speech by British Labor Party leader Neal Kinnock took place at a campaign stump at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. In closing his speech, Biden took Kinnock’s ideas and language as if they were his very own inspired thoughts, prefacing Kinnock’s ideas with the phrase “I started thinking as I was coming over here . . . “. Little did Biden suspect that video footage of this speech would be spliced together with footage of Kinnock’s speech in an “attack video” which would be distributed by members of the Dukakis campaign.
It would be a fun ticket, wouldn't it be?

The boring, way too much like George Bush ticket: McCain and whoever he picks as veep.

But I thought McCain was going to be exciting because he wants to bomb everyone. But maybe you're right, it's time that cheaters get the White House again.

BigT, I like this story.  Very good stuff.

Birds of a feather flock together, it seems!

We all know we need a change, but think American voters are beginning to realize that  maybe Obama can't or won't deliver the changes we want.
