Police: 5 dead in car-train crash near Detroit
A car crossed in front of an Amtrak passenger train in Detroit Michigan this morning, killing five people in the car.
Canton Township police say the victims included a 14-year-old female from Wayne and four young men: an 18-year-old and a 20-year-old from Taylor, a 19-year-old from Woodhaven, and a 21-year-old from Stafford, Va.
Family has been informed but names are being withheld to inform extended family.
CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Police say five young people were in a Ford Fusion that crossed in front of an Amtrak passenger train near Detroit, killing all five people in the car.
Canton Township police say the victims included a 14-year-old female from Wayne and four young men: an 18-year-old and a 20-year-old from Taylor, a 19-year-old from Woodhaven, and a 21-year-old from Stafford, Va.
Family had been notified, but the names were still being withheld to allow for extended family members to be reached, police said.
