Police Officer shot in drive by

An Anchorage Police Officer was shot while sitting in his patrol car doing paperwork. Lt. Dave Koch stated, the officer was shot five times and is listed in stable condition. Although the total number of officers killed in the line of duty has decreased, the number of officers murdered has risen.

This is the third shooting since October of 2009 where the officers were targeted, in October two officers who were also in a patrol carwere shot in Seattle leaving one dead and in Novemeber four Lakewood officers dead in a coffee shop.
