MANILA -- The P11.3-billion project to automate next year’s elections is back on track, just days after the winning bidders threatened to walk out on the deal.

“We were able to thresh out everything,” Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chairman Jose Melo said after a three-hour meeting Friday with officials of Smartmatic and Total Information Management (TIM) in the commission’s main office in Intramuros, Manila.

Taking bet in now that the system will not be fully introduce and the contract will fall through. It's too important for some high ranking politician to cheat at election time and spanners will be placed in any attempt to make the coming election fair and square. At present guns will be oiled and people are investigating for dirt on their oponents, yep its going to be another crazy time and attorneys are already looking for political clients to fill their purses after the election.
