Pont Iena & Eiffel Tower - France Presidency of E.U.

France took on the EU presidency on 1st of July. To celebrate the political event, The Eiffel tower had been decorated with the stars composing the EU flag and was enlightened in blue.

Though the horizon is not plain blue for Nicolas Sarkozy. The French President will actually have many troubles to cope with during his presidency ; the first one being the settlement of the institutional crisis concerning the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty which had just been refused by Ireland.

Update : on 1st of July, Poland announces that following the Irish refusal, it will refuse the Lisbon treaty (despite having already ratified it by the parliament way)...
