Power without Integrity - more dangerous than an atom bomb!

Power - it's about how it is used.

With the recent article describing wide scale abuse by aid workers on those they are supposed to be helping

. . . .

With continuous abuse of trust by traditional religions upon their flocks

. . .

With the increasing profits attained by corporations through increasing prices and denying more people access to food and fuel

. . . .

With over 80 governments and ruling bodies around the planet maintaining control by force and deception, subjecting whole populations to misery

We have to ask the question – Why?!

Surely the common denominator to all of the above is POWER.

The common problem throughout our history continues to be our inability as a species to manage power in whatever guise we allow it to manifest.

The common aspect to its attainment and maintainance is a lowering of integrity at every level of human activity and interaction.

As we adjust to the new Global Village we find that traditional borders and similar barriers are being broken down to allow for larger and larger organisations to mainfest, be they corporate or political.

Within this new world order those who hold the power are becoming increasingly detached from those who vote them that power.

And as this detachment grows, so the effects of abuse of power become more devastating in this new world without boundaries.

The abuse of trust carried out in the financial markets in 2007 by just a few people has directly affected every area of society.

The consequences of this activity have never before been experienced. How long will it take before trust returns across not just one company, business sector, country or continent but across the whole planet?

These are new dynamics for us to deal with and will shape of our future world.

Humility and integrity are as much a part of the human condition as greed and it is the former we now need in our leadership if we are to reverse our current and rapid journey “To Hell in a Handcart”.
