NP Rank:
Prabhakaran still in NFZ. But LTTE says won't surrender to SLA
LTTE spokesman Seevaratnam Puleedevan announced today that LTTE Leader Terrorist V. Prabhakaran is still in the No Fire Zone. But rather than surrendering, LTTE s will die fighting. They already know that the "war of independence" is completely lost.
Seevaratnam Puleedevan, secretary-general of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) peace secretariat, urged the international community to intervene by forcing a permanent ceasefire, which Sri Lanka has ruled out.
The military says around 50,000 people have fled the Tiger-held area so far since Monday, and had given the LTTE until noon Tuesday, a deadline already passed, to surrender or be destroyed.
"LTTE will never surrender and we will fight and we have the confidence that we will win with the help of the Tamil people," Puleedevan told Reuters by telephone. He said he was near the border of the no-fire zone in Sri Lanka's northeastern coast.
The LTTE is surrounded there by around 50,000 troops expected to soon deal a final blow to the Tigers, who have waged war since 1983 to create a separate state for Sri Lankan Tamils.
LTTE leader Vellupillai Prabhakaran was inside the no-fire zone, Puleedevan said.
"He is with us and he is directing the war against the Sri Lankan armed forces and providing a lot of support and assistance to the people," Puleedevan said.
The LTTE founder created its culture of committing suicide by taking cyanide in case of capture, and of pioneering suicide bombing as a weapon of war. The latter has landed the LTTE on U.S., EU, Indian and Canadian terrorist lists.

Yes , You are perfectly correct. When SLA was in crisis during the Oyatha Alaikalkal to capture Jaffna by LTTE , Srilankan Government flee to India to safegurad their 20000 Army Man who got up in Jaffna. LTTE forgiven SLA. Because we are human and - not SLA racists!. they are chauvinists , they are killers , they are rouges , they are terrorists.
But we fight alone , we fight till we die. This is what our ancient tamil language teaches us. This is what our Pura Naanoru teaches us , this is what our tamil king Ravana who died fighting against then aryan invader Rama teaches us , this is what our couragous history of Cheras , Cholas , Pandiyas teaches us. If we never learned from our history there is no reason for learning the history !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are very much happy to die fighting. every single eelam young man will kill atleast 5 times of sinhala soldier before he die and will die happily for his homeland for his mother tongue.. but we are friends of common sinhala community and we accept them as our friendly neighbours.
we will never give up. today may be LTTE , may be pirabhakaran - but it will multiply in many folds.!

3).Military intelligence reports suggest that LTTE Leader Vellupille Prabakaran and the remaining leaders are hiding in the southern edge of the NO FIRE ZONE(NFZ) strip in a place called “Vellamullivaikkal”. Vellamullivaikal is close to the 59th division FDL, to the west of this hamlet is the lagoon and to the east is the Indian Ocean. In all other fronts the Sri Lanka Army has the option of moving in from the west at any time, but the scenario in the top tiger den is different. The lagoon near Vellamullivaikkal is very deep, the LTTE is fiercely defending this front and the areas are heavily mined, hence the 59th has not launched a full frontal attack on this area. However, 8 man teams are operating ahead of the 59th division FDL in order to soften up the defences. Barring a full frontal assault by the 59th that is considered high risk, the options left to the SLA are to attack Vellamullivaikal via the A35 (which may also come at a high price) or launch a sea borne attack with the support of the Sri Lanka Navy.
