COLOMBO: Sri Lanka's security forces and police have unearthed secret documents belonging to the deceased leader of Tamil Tiger rebels, a newspaper reported Sunday.

The documents belonging to Velupillai Prabhakaran, who was killed in the final days of conflict between his forces and the Sri Lankan Army in May, were discovered in barrels in Vellamulliyavaikkal, 395 km northeast of the Sri Lankan capital, Colombo.

Information from a close associate of Prabhakaran led to the find, the Sunday Times reported.

The documents contained details of proposed rebel attacks, including suicide missions, details of arms purchases, bank transactions and plans to revamp the rebel organisation, the newspaper quoted Superintendent of Police Vass Gunawardena as saying.

Some 272 files have been brought to the capital and are being carefully sifted through, the paper said.

The source of the information was captured during the government's final battle with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in northeastern Sri Lanka.

"We believe that this is the most vital information we have found so far, during or after the military operations in the north," Gunawardena said.

This find is considered a major breakthrough and Colombo expects to obtain the names of many in Colombo and abroad who helped the LTTE Terrorism. It is also said that the names of some prominent businessmen and other known figures are being exposed.

One will be able to follow the developments after all these files and notes are checked on and vital details are extracted.

There is nothing to boast about. Sri Lanka is now a prostitute who sleeps with Chna and India. They gave you all the weapons. Your dropped more bombs in Vanni than the ones that were dropped in Viatnam. Becuase China gave you unlimited amount of ammunitions. You didn't care about people. Your defence minister came like an idiot on the TV and told that he had God given right to bomb hospitals and schools. You killed more than fifty thousands in Vann. This is not a geniune war.

I don't know who this Lalith guy is. But everybody who comes to NowPublic knows that he is doing propaganda for the Racist Sri Lankan government.

Your soliders are rapists. They raped women in Haiti. Now your heros are raping the Tamil women.

Your leaders are liers. They steal money from poor people.

Well said,  nimalru !!

Unlike the heros of LTTE who faught a noble war, planting bombs in civilian busses,  massacring pilgrims etc., Sri Lanka never faught a genuine war.

Keep hitting harder on that keyboard. Those keys should be punished...........

Norway receives it's more than fair share...

Theatre of Terror - Five Srilankan Tamils sentenced for sword murder in Norway
[09.07.2009, 08:31pm, Thu. GMT]
Five Srilankan Political motivated Tamils who were involved in a terrifying Gun fire attack involving Samurai swords were today sentenced of between 11 and 14 years after the deaths of Kalbakken in Oslo in 2007. They were found guilty at the Oslo Court following the attempted murder of a 20-year-old man Mr.Ramanan Vivekananthan on Kalbakken in Oslo 12, August 2007. During the attack attempts were made to behead the victim.  "This political motivated gang of youths were causing a high level of fear within the Tamil community in Oslo".
The political motivated group involved in the attack, which consisted of around 10 men, traveled from France and Germany to Kalbakken area in Oslo,  specifically to attack the Mr.Ramanan armed with samurai swords, pickaxe handles, guns and other weaponry.

Once in Oslo they ambushed a group of six men in Kalbakken, area.

The victim was struck on the head and body by a Gun shot, and when he fell to the ground both 'Jaffna ganger' and 'Psycho' attacked him with the swords attempting to behead him.

While the five were found guilty of murder charges, were the five other convicted for bodily under particularly aggravating circumstances, and with the fatal result.

The incident was a culmination of an almost two-year-old conflict between two rival gangs in the Tamil community in Oslo.

It involved a planned settlement, and several of the accused was obtained from abroad as "reinforcements." In the Court's ruling states that "the murder was carried out in a brutal and ruthless way, the more the community, and by the use of particularly dangerous weapons, and against a 19-year-old boy who was killed on the ground."

That truth is visible in front of all naysayer's eyes like  blinding sunshine that the "neutral" countries supported and ran helter-skelter for the execution of 'save-der-tiger' projects are getting the fruits in multifold now. Reaping they are the sweet fruits and savouring the taste and after taste of their divine deeds.

Poetic justice does not even begin to describe this!

Uncle Sam,

All those you have show above are not LTTE supporters. They are traitors who did not join the LTTE organization.
