Praying for peace in The city of Peace

La Paz Baja California Sur.

Beautiful peaceful city of La Paz honors its name, a city where its citizens, families and tourists can still walk along the malecon at late hours of hot summer nights without any fear, but rather enjoy a soothing, relaxing experience, bonding, making friends or simply watching an awesome, breath- taking sunset.

Saturday, thousands of persons gathered together to pray for peace, outside City Hall, leaving aside religious diferences, believers and representatives of different churches and denominations where present to pray for authorities so God will grant them the wisdom and power to fight against drug dealers, kidnappers and all kinds of organized crime.

A piece of The Lord's prayer was said by each church and to close the event the multitude sang The Mexican National Anthem.

"May the divine archangel crown your brow, Oh fatherland, with an olive branch of peace, For your eternal destiny has been written In heaven by the finger of God. But should a foreign enemy Dare to profane your soil with his tread, Know, beloved fatherland, that heaven gave you A soldier in each of your sons."

Mexico is still a land of believers.

Creyentes y representantes de diferentes iglesias desde la Evangélica, Bautista, Metodista y la Católica, representados por sus pastores, coincidieron en la oración universal del Padre Nuestro para rogar por la paz en México ante el nerviosismo colectivo que ha causado el incremento de la violencia, homicidios, a los que se suma el de la crisis económica.

En especial, las peticiones fueron por las autoridades los diferentes poderes del Estado para que tengan la capacidad suficiente para afrontar los problemas en el país como el narcotráfico, las narcoejecuciones y los secuestros.
