While all the other party leaders are signing up for debates with their opponents Premier Campbell has other plans.

And what about B.C. Liberal premier Gordon Campbell?

“Campbell is still refusing to debate,” NDP candidate Mel Lehan told the Straight. Lehan is running against Campbell in Vancouver–Point Grey for a second time in this year’s May 12 election.

“He [Campbell] wouldn’t do it last election and he won’t do it this election,” Lehan said by phone during a break in door-knocking in the constituency’s Dunbar area. “He’s really afraid to debate.”

James has not debated her riding opponent either so this is not an issue.  No leader ever debates the standardbearer that has the unpleasant job of campaigning for a month knowing they have no chance of winning.  Lehan doesn't stand a chance of beating Campbell so what is the point?.  That is just politics 101.  Campbell will debate the other leaders on Global.  That is far more important anyway as it is televised for us all to see.

In George Orwell's farm of 2009 you're not supposed to question the shepherds.

Watch the debate and stop being so bitter.
