Washington, DC - Today the 44th President of the United States delivered his speech in front of a huge, spectacular sea of people. On the U.S. Capitol steps, when looking out into that audience, the entire sitting, standing and walking areas were filled with wall to wall Americans. Proud, excited and happy U. S. citizens ready for a great change. “For everywhere we look, there is work to be done.  The state of the economy calls for action, bold and swift, and we will act - not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth,” said President Barack Obama.  President Obama was surrounded by many people he loves, by new friends he has made and those he will cultivate friendships with over the next four years. The smiles of many included exiting President George W. Bush and Vice President Joseph Robert F. Biden and were seen by millions. The overwhelming feelings of emotion were clearly seen on the faces of the onlookers and those at home watched with a loyal sense of excitement and glee.  The promises that President Obama make are not unlike other promises but as he has indicated in his speech today, the times are different. Our world's new momentum yields a bigger responsibility and a larger piece of the pie. President Obama recited these very impressionable and magnificent words when he spoke about the new era of our responsibilities as Americans.  He said,  “but those values upon which our success depends - hard work and honesty, courage and fair play, tolerance and curiosity, loyalty and patriotism - these things are old.  These things are true.  They have been the quiet force of progress throughout our history.  What is demanded then is a return to these truths.  What is required of us now is a new era of responsibility - a recognition, on the part of every American, that we have duties to ourselves, our nation, and the world, duties that we do not grudgingly accept but rather seize gladly, firm in the knowledge that there is nothing so satisfying to the spirit, so defining of our character, than giving our all to a difficult task."

I rejoice and celebrate with all of America and the rest of the world for the first African American President.  I stayed hom from work today just to make sure that I could look at every detail of the inauguration ceremony.  Indeed, it is historic, it is emotional, it is captivating and exhilarating.  I share with all who feel the extreme sense of joy and jubilation and victory over this day.  It is a day preordained by God, he was also preordained by God to become the next President of the US.  He was in preparation, behind the scenes, and the moment that he came he was a winner.  His time is now. He was ready, General colin Powell said that in 2003 Obama told him that he was ready to run for President, he felt that he had something to contribute to the nation and that the nation was ready for "Change", and he really succeeded in becoming President.  Nelson Mandela remarked that "similar sentiments was sent worldwide for Obama as when Apartheid ended".

My prayers are with him and his family that the wisdom of God supersedes all the wisdom of the world and all other forces that may be working against him.  This is the season that he has to lead the nation of America and nothing could have changed that.

My support was for Hilary since I had known her before when she campaigned in the previous election, I knew nothing of Obama.  Personally, I chose her to win, but Obama came as the proverbial dark "dark horse" and won the race.

All the best to you Sir, and your family.

At first I was upset by the "Black this" and "African American" that and "Triump of Blacks....."  But all of a sudden the good Lord clued me into what exactly the hope and success of this President winning the election actually is for everyone. It is not about Black this and that.  This is a success of the American people to leave their racist ways behind and to prove to everyone in the world that what happened in 1865 has actually succeeded. That Americans see people as people and not as a COLOR.  Color makes no difference in a human being. We all bleed red.
