In video coverage, obtained by ABC's, Miya Shay, President Bush appears to be in "rare form" as he makes jokes about the economy and life after the presidency during a political fundraiser event last week.

The first moments form the July 18 event find him speaking almost incoherently in admitting, for once, that his friends in big business had screwed up: "There's no question about it. Wall Street got drunk ---that's one of the reasons I asked you to turn off the TV cameras -- it got drunk and now it's got a hangover. The question is how long will it sober up and not try to do all these fancy financial instruments."

Then, making light of the foreclosure crisis, he said: "And then we got a housing issue... not in Houston, and evidently not in Dallas, because Laura's over there trying to buy a house. [great laughter] I like Crawford but unfortunately after eight years of sacrifice, I am apparently no longer the decision maker."

ABC is not revealing how Ms. Shay obtained the video, or how it emerged.

I've found it very interesting to watch all video in you tube regarding Mr. Bush action on camera.

Thank you for your comments and the Flag, renovatio! I think you were one of the lucky ones to view the video on youtube. It is no longer available from them.  However, I located the original video at ABC's Miya Shay's politicalblog (see my comment above). I hope it's not removed  any time soon:)! It is very interesting!

Rhonda J Mangus, I like this story. It's good stuff.

Let it all come out from the shadows and into the light to be seen by the world.

Question regarding drinking or medical history on G. W.

"Has there been any release of the actual records or release to the public of toxicology of the medicine being taken by the president, during any portion of his term as the president of the United States of America".

The reason I ask is for the simply fact of pharmaceutical interaction of certain medicines and the relationship of thoughts of "if you are in control of your faculties and being able to make sound decisions" Because to me it is not a wise decision for to talk in public with the manners he talks of america and what is happening to the American people and the country as a whole, is he really that detached for the real reality that any of the "commoners" are and have been experiencing.

If I could copy and paste that video on the web every where i would. The jerk thinks life is one big party after the cameras are out of the area.

P.S. the camera was in a hat or something she was wearing on top of her head (smart) and had a remote w/ zoom and great audio too boot :-) Got to love technology for this piece of history.

Thank you very much for your comments and the Flag, everchanging! You raise a very interesting question, and I think your concerns are valid.  The President's Medical History, dated 7 August, 2007, is available here: http://news.findlaw.com/nytimes/docs/gwbush/gwbush80707medicalhistory.html

It is an interesting medical report that indicates that the President does not regularly use prescription drugs.

Thank you for this medical history on the president.

Wondering if you noticed where the original source is from - The White House.

I still have a gut feeling there something of a miss here and we may learn more about or of it in later days and times. Who knows time will tell.

 Thanks again, Rhonda.

Hi everchanging! You are very welcome! Yes, I know the original source and it would not surprise me if it is not the "whole picture". "It" very well could come out at a later time, yes! Time [always] will tell:)!
