President Clinton does The View, Letterman...Hillary would have accepted by mr.zoltanblack

Why is Bill Clinton such an out of this world orator?

President Clinton’s success as a speaker can be greatly attributed to the method in which the Former McGovern (1972) campaign leader deploys his words. The forty-second President of the United State has a unique way of explaining things so that everybody from the official oppositions too the guy that details my car on Wednesdays can understand. Unlike America’s forty-third President elect, "W" a real class act, whose smug, uninformed rancour has dominated the political scene in the United States for the better part of a decade Clinton is a smooth linguistically sound public speaker who seldom put his foot in his mouth.

To give you an idea of just how prophetic Bubba can be take a look at the following statement:

"You can’t tell someone that the ground on which they make their voting decision is irrational"

Before hearing the above statement from President Don Juan, I hadn’t been able to convince myself of its validity. I believed that we should vote solely on the basis of factors such as logic, principals and perhaps loosely desire but Clinton’s statement helped me to realize a critical part of the democratic process is not just asserting our thoughts, hope and idea through the ballot box but also what we stand for as individuals. After having forty-three consecutive Caucasian males serve as President of the United States of America you would be hard pressed to find anyone that cannot understand a woman who cast a vote for the Republican party on Nov 4th in the name of still-moulding equal rights or any man of mixed-decent who will cast his vote for the Democrats on Nov 4th in the name of similarly-moulding rights. Or perhaps it something entirely less sophisticated? Drawn straws, some candidate’s middle-name or simple party allegiance that will be garnering your vote this November. The point Clinton makes here is that as Americans we are all entitled to our vote and our vote is ours to use however we feel fit. God Bless America.

Further proof of President Clinton’s fabulous gift for explanatory gab

The statement in question did not appear during either Presidential campaign, in fact the statement wasn’t even made when Bubba was still Governor of the fine state of Arkansas, no in fact this statement came just yesterday on The View. Now sure President Clinton could be accused of heavy scripting no to mention an iron fisted control over the situations and circumstances under which he will speak but this is a lesson some America’s less skilled in the arena of public locution (Massachusetts Senator John Kerry comes to mind) could stand to learn from the old sax playing womanizer. Clinton comfortable speaking from the pulpit, park bench, stump, stoop, sofa or even the occasional bar stool is a master at communicating perhaps one of governments most complex issues, the economy. I am hardly a writer and even less of an economist. I occasionally read the Wall Street Journal but that’s mostly for the extended sports columns. In other words I know nothing about the economy and even less about economics but someway, somehow, whenever President Clinton speaks especially on the topic of the economy I always come away from the conversation feeling like I’ve learned a tremendous deal more then I would have had the speaker not held such a well informed, down-to-earth, common folk candour.
