President Obama: Health Care Reform Plan: Let's Get It Done (video)
President Obama says that after years and months of political wrangling, and disagreements that the time for debate over a Plan to Reform Health Care for the USA is over.
"I believe the United States Congress deserves a vote on Health Care Reform." President Obama is asking for a vote on health care to be scheduled in the next few weeks.
"Every idea has been on the table, every argument has been made, so now is the time to make a decision to finally reform health care so that it works, both sides agree the status quo is not working...business can't afford it,' said President Obama.
President Obama has rejected the single payer systems saying it would practical and ineffective. He also dismissed arguments to loosen the regulations on the health insurance industry.
"I don't believe we should give government bureaucrats or insurance bureaucrats more control, Obama said"
President Obama says the proposal he put forward gives Americans more control over their health care and admits there will be a cost - $100 billion
But Obama says the Health Care Plan would end the worst practices of insurance companies like getting rid of existing conditions clauses that deny millions coverage Obama goes on to say that uninsured individuals and small business owners will get the same type of coverage that members of Congress receive. Federal employees participate in an insurance market that gives them better coverage and better rates because they are part of a large pool of people.

President Obama did a very poor job of managing the production of this legislation. He was ineffective as an executve at getting his own party in line to produce acceptable legislation. He failed to achieve any bipartisanship and that was his job, not that of the Speaker of the House.
I agree that it is time to pass the legislation and let the people evaluate the product. Corrections may have to be made, but at least there should be a product.
President Obama is an effective speaker. He is liked by we the people. However, his job is exeuctive and from that we expect results.

Obama thinks his agenda is more important than the country he is supposed to serve. The result could well be the failure of his Presidency, his agenda, and the country.

On what basis do you make this sweeping statement, my friend?
His agenda was many of our agenda just a year ago, and for many, it still is.
I think the problem that President Obama has is a different version of the same problem George W. Bush had, they have a flawed approach to management.
In the case of Obama, it is because he has no executive expereince. Deficiencies are showing up now that many anticipated. To close the gap, he must 1) recognize the deficiency, 2) get some help, 3) learn from mistakes.

Have yet to see him address a single item of the three you list.
Because his supposed health care scam is so very important to him, he has ignored other more pressing issues. He talks one way, does something different, and a majority of the people in the country think he he simply wrong about health care, yet he doggedly pursues it. He doesn't have the votes to pass it in the House, yet he is going to try to force it down our collective throats.
Come fall, voters will remember that his health care plan was more important than their jobs.

To both of you, Obama hasn't failed, misrepresented or mismanaged anything or anybody. He's doing a damn fine job and he's working hard to conduct himself according to the proper role of a person filling the office as president. George W Bush pushed the bounds of the office, far beyond what he should have, and people have come to expect that from the office? The president and the executive branch is not a dictatorial position - it still relies on congress and the bench. President Obama is doing an amazing job balancing his core beliefs with opposing viewpoints, which is what SHOULD be done. So chill.
