This Saturday, President Obama spoke at the Summerfest grounds. At the new BMO Harris Pavillion, in particular. I was at Discovery World and the line snaked around the back end of the museum and past the War Memorial. President Obama fired up the crowd, stating:

"We don't want an inside job where the energy policies are written by the oil companies, and health care policies are written by insurance companies, and our tax code is written by outsourcers. We don't need an inside job where a politician in Washington is telling women they can't make their own health care decisions. We don't need that kind of inside job."

Mitt Romney talks about 47% of Americans not paying income taxes. Well, he talks about it when he is with his wealthy friends who give him money. Now, most of that 47% pay social security or medicare taxes and much of the rest are retired. The fact is, the reason that less and less Americans are paying income taxes is because over the last 40 years their incomes have gone down compared to their parents or grandparents.

The average wage for males is less than it was back in the 1970s, adjusted for inflation. Will Mitt Romney continue the policies that made this happen, such as trade policies that move jobs overseas and policies that weakened private unions? You betcha. The average income of the average worker will suffer under a President Romney while the rich will get a whole lot richer.

Finally, what about those who vote Republican because what they gain from the government? Rich and bloated defense contractors. Large agri-businesses who get government subsidies. Why does Romney ignore these people? That's right, they give him money.
