Recently while bailing out embattled US Attorney General, Eric Holder, the President came up with an explanation that insults our intelligence and is consistent with most of his rhetoric and half truths. You might recall that Attorney General Eric Holder was held in contempt by Congress. The first US Attorney General in history ever to find himself in that position. Even though the President had to invoke Executive Privilege to save Holder and further investigation by the Inspector General seems to have vindicated the Attorney General, saying that this matter was conducted by his lower ranking staff, doubts by Darrel Issa remain. According to Issa, who has been calling upon Holder to release documents on Fast and Furious for 2 years, has still not received them.

Obama once again blames Bush same tired old tactic

President Obama in a statement during an attempt to bail out Eric Holder said that Fast and Furious was an operation staged by the previous administration and that whatever gun walking occurred under the US Attorney General Holder’s watch had occurred and was administered under the Bush administration. Now for the actual truth

The Bush administration had conducted an operation known as “Wide Receiver” designed to track US weapons that had been confiscated during arrests. They wanted to know how these weapons, purchased in the US, had ended up in Mexico. Unlike, Fast and Furious, an effort was actually made to track the origin of the firearms used by the Drug Cartel gangs. However, operation “Wide Receiver” was terminated for lack of results 2 years before the Obama administration’s operation “Fast and Furious” which many have alleged was a scheme by the President and AG Eric Holder to force gun control for the supposed purpose of stopping shooting deaths. We now know that there were lies as testified by ATF agents who risked their careers and lives in order to tell the truth.

Once again, we find the explanations given by President Obama to be sorely lacking in authenticity and fact when it pertains to covering for his criminally responsible underlings.
