President Barack Obama is conducting his third prime time live press conference in the East Room at 8 PM EST that is being streamed live from the White House.

Update: The public can now view the the press conference here.  The full text can be read here from the White House Press Office.

The President opened his prime time live press conference by addressing the swine flu issue that has affected American citizens, and in light of the WHO's earlier announcement as reported across the news, and at NP.

President Obama has credited former President George W. Bush for having set up the important foundation to handle health crisis.  These infrastructures are currently being used to handle the ongoing swine flu outbreak in America.

President Obama continued to discuss the budget of 2010.  He has reiterated the new direction of United States foreign policy.  He said that even though his administration is on the right track toward solving numerous problems, he is not satisfied with the overall progress as he echoed the American public sentiments.

The US President thanked the American public for their supports before taking questions from the White House press corp.

The questions ranged from abortion to torture, from his personal emotions about his Presidency to the auto industry and banks, from swine flu to Senator Arlen Specter joining the Democrats, from abortion to the rising unemployment among African American males, to name a few.

The President appeared to be more comfortable in handling a myriad of issues with detailed answers, including his answer to the New York Times reporter about his emotions since becoming President.  He was masterful in responding to the diverse and complex subjects raised by the journalists.

President Obama had readily acknowledged that he would have liked to come into office with less complex problems and urgent crises to manage since Day 1. Nevertheless, he had accepted these challenges with the determination to solve them on behalf of the American people. He also admitted that he would have preferred to have a leaner government.

President Obama had learned to keep his answers relatively shorter than in the previous two press conferences, which allowed the White House press corp to ask him more questions the third press conference.  The President managed to inject a bit of humor when he answered the question about his emotions: surprise, troubled, enchanted, and humbled by the Presidency, so far.

Updates will be provided as further information are available, including the text of President Obama's press conference.

Thank you so much, Esta, for your comments and recommendation.  I had to write this article rather quickly as the news conference was starting on C-Span.  I watch C-Span so I can assess the new conference on my own, without relying on talking heads' opinions on commercial networks. :-)

Obama is an idiot who can barely formulate complete sentences without a teleprompter. You dupes are pathetic for not realizing that he is an empty suit.

Nice try at Obama bashing.

Now, let's give the right its due.

"There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again." —President George W. Bush, Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 17, 2002

But, WAIT! There's more!
