costal state orissa is in the news for all the wrong reasons from last two months.Since the death of Hindu priest and reactive violence against christians, going totally out of control for government. The death and plight  of christians from the state is making the situation worse.Reacent news about the gang-rape of a nun by so called hindu brigade members , making it hard for state goverment to explain it centre, regarding the security of minorities in the state.

Reacting to the ongoing violence in Orissa, Home Minister Shivraj Patil has said that Centre is unhappy with Orissa government's lack of action.

Speaking to news channel, Patil said that six warnings have already been sent to Orissa government.

"Orissa government's inaction is a breach of Constitution and there's a growing demand for President's rule in the state," he said.

According to sources, government may accept the demand for President's rule if situation worsens.
the Home Minister had slammed Orissa Chief Minister on Friday also for not taking effective measures to control communal violence.

"Merely continuing to ask for addition forces after every few days cannot be solution. The state government has to implement overall strategy for creating environment of security," he had said.

The violence began in Kandhmal two months ago after a Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader was killed. The murder led to attacks on the Christian community in the state and spread beyond Kandhmal.

The Cabinet had a special meeting on the issue on Friday after which around 5000 paramilitary soldiers were rushed to the state to maintain peace.

Thanks for your comment mr. azzayindia,

well situation seems to be quite tense in orissa, but Mr Navin atnaik seems to be unperturbed by the man made anthropogenic dusaster. Election is in the offing and , as usual relogious isses always work as mass attention tool for politicians, to distract the voters from real issues.
