Press Releases, Spam Attacks and The Chatsworth Metrolink Accident
I realize a title like "spam attacks and the Chatsworth Metrolink accident" is a weird title, but it is fitting as you will read. I have been writing a lot of new releases about the Chatsworth Metrolink accident of September 12, 2008, which was the deadliest light rail accident in California State history.
Within hours of the crash, it seemed every law firm in California started issuing press releases on PR web, and their paid webmasters launched spam attacks against me and my website, likely due to the high Google page one rankings I had regarding the "Chatsworth Metro-link accident".
I had high Google rankings for "train accident", because of all the educational materials I had published months previously. Prior to that, I had litigated train accident cases, first as a paralegal doing all the grunt work for other law firms, and then, as a full fledged lawyer.
During this whole period, I had been warning against the dangers of Metrolink accidents, and been an advocate for safety. I even posted a video on Youtube about Metrolink accidents, almost a year previously, which discussed the dangers of Metrolink, Metrorail, trains in general, as well as the statute of limitations in lawsuits against government entities involved in public transportation.
Almost immediately, my Youtube video shot to number one in Google search results for "Chatsworth Metrolink accident". This is when the troubles started. My video started to be "spam attacked", by what was clear to me, were other lawyers, and their webmasters, calling me an "ambulance chaser", telling me I was "capitalizing" on the train crash in Chatsworth, and oh yeah, that I don't have enough experience and to hire another attorney with more experience.
Then I started seeing other law firms blatantly posting their law firm's links on my blogs, and DIGGs. I personally found this behavior tasteless, and insulting. But I don't put it past most scumbag personal injury lawyers to pay people to try and destroy other honest lawyers.
This fits right in the liberal elitist mentality many trial lawyers have. The "you send your kids to public school, while I send mine to private, and you drive an electric 'green' death trap, while I drive an SUV" mentality so prevalent with public figures like Al Gore for example.
Before the Metrolink wreck, there was little if any concern by these elitists about Metrolink safety, but now every law firm seems to "care" with their spam attacks against me, and their press releases about how much they care about your money.

At this moment, I'm assisting an area Contractor become "Green"...for REAL. His comany has already utilized a unique system of construction techniques and technology to recreate over 300 area structures to be reutilized for Residential and Commercial use, at typically 35-65 cents on the dollar compared to other new and rehabbed structures, low maintenance, energy efficient. but most importantly, affordable for "Working Class" buyers. He's looking to add in newer Solar Technology, Tankless Water Heaters, LCD Lighting, and many other features, that when priced and utilized, will still create housing and Small Business structures that are better priced for REAL PEOPLE. I noted in another disertation, that the average working family can ill afford to go into debt for $150K-300K and pay back $250K -400K for obstensibly a $50K-75K structure. With commercial buildings it only gets worse.
I said all that to underpin the following: We HAVE the technology to make Rail AND Highway Accidents nearly a memory. We could lay magnetic stripping under the new layers of surfacing that will inevitably be applied to our Interstate and Primary Highways and Arterial Roadways, applying a similar principal to the Rails, (We could also reinitiate the EXPANSION of the available Rail Routes, as well, instead of having the larger companies buy up smaller routes, close them. and shuttle more traffic on less actual rail.Why is Amtrack a JOKE?-the diminishing of routes has been going on for decades, so Amtrack has much fewer places to go. Here in Belmond we have a "delightful" Walking Trail where the trackbed linking most of N. Central Iowa's used to be.) that with GPS and Computer tracking, could not only speed mixed traffic on it's way, but could insure that "Common Carriers" and Shippers, whether Rail, Air, or Truck never went anywhere without a load and certainly not head-on into one of it's couterparts.
Of course it would take some of the money we waste on things like the legislation of morality, (I'm not against peace on the street, and the security of property and persons, but Laws that mostly promote a variety of Religious, Ideological, and Philosophical "Isms" cost the Global Community TRILLIONS every year...hey, I'm a Christian, but that should be my example-what you do in the privacy of your own life with others who understand and have intelligiently chosen to join you doing is YOUR business. If it's off the street and the public marketplace, it's none of my business!),Pork, and Propaganda, (you only NEED Propaganda when the Truth is so ugly the Perpetrators can't even stomach it...) AND THE WILL.
Someone said change will only occur when the PAIN of change is LESS then the pain of staying the SAME.
