Even though this was taken about 2 years ago in the high desert of California, I thought this gas station was highway robbery when it came to gas prices. NO other gas for miles in either direction, so they were able to sell it for whatever they wanted.

I remember back in 1998 I was driving through Yosemite and was running low on fuel. I knew my rental car would probably make it to Mariposa, but not 100%. So I saw a lonly gas station like this on the road ahead and they were charging an astonishing $1.49 per gallon!!!! This enraged me. How DARE they charge this much for gas. I put $5 in, and drove to the next big down vowing NEVER to pay more than $1.50 a gallon for gas, EVER.

I didn't keep that promise.

Added the map location so you know where NOT to go for gas --------------------------->

Shot on some random film in my Holga. I don't know any other details since there is no EXIF data for film.
