NP Rank:
Prime Minister Tsvangirai recovering in hospital
Zimbabwe's prime minister Morgan Tsvangirai was last night broadcast on television in a hospital bed with a neck brace on.
His official car was involved in a collision near his rural home in Buhera with a truck, his wife Susan, 50, died at the crash scene. The images on TV showed President Robert Mugabe visiting him in hospital. The PM looked uneasy and reluctant to be a part of the farce show being created for television.
This was a clear indication that the president was trying to shoo away any allegations of involvement and that it was simply a tragic accident – nothing more.
State television said the 56-year-old prime minister, who has not long entered office had suffered some injuries to his head and neck.
The reasons for the crash in this mornings media are varied.
It is reported a lorry carrying freight crossed into the lane in which Mr Tsvangirai's 4x4 was travelling and side-swiped their vehicle, causing it to roll over three times. Some say the driver fell asleep, some have said the roads are in such a bad state the driver may have been avoiding a pothole but of course some say it may have been an assassination attempt.
The world knows the problems Mr Tsvangirai has had to find himself the Prime Minister of a country so desperately in need of change.
He's been beaten and put on trial for treason of a country he clearly loves.
His wife was not a public person and, though well known she did not soak up the limelight and appeared when it mattered.
She came to her husbands treason trial everyday and now and again visited members of her husbands political party MDC who have been put in jail, she would bring them food and chat.
Let hope Mr Tsvangirai can come back from such a strong blow, and continue to fight for the people of his country – and for change. He's all they have, let hope that this in it's own right will be enough to find that strength he needs.
Morgan and Susan were married 31 years have they have six adult children.

I smell a fish
I think that Morgan is still a political prisoner and restricted, watched I dred to think what Mugabe has threatened at a guess to kll Morgans family down to the last soul.
Mugabe needs a loan and because he has seemingly handed over part of the power to a person South Africa trust. he thinks that Zimbabwe will be bailed out by a granted loan.
I think that South Africa will not lend a penny whilst Mugabe still holds the strings of power.
The no money factor may bring his little empire down.
