At long last, there is light at the end of a 36 year tunnel of dark Afghan horrors. This light shines brightly through the eyes of Prince Ali Seraj. I first met Ali in 1966 while attending the University of Connecticut. We became fraternity brothers; not of a social organization, but of a service fraternity. Service to people, especially his countrymen and women, was his passion then as now. The shock of the 1973 coup and it's aftermath that ended hundreds of years of monarchy horrorfied and saddened Ali. Throughout the past 36 years, in his heart, he has felt every stabbing, gunshot, bomb blast and stone throw inflicted on the Afghan people. When cut, Ali bleeds Afghan blood. His life and the future of his beloved Afghanistan are now in the hands of the people who support him in his candicity for President. I hope that a win-win-win environment emerges where Afghanistan, its people and the world can live in peace and prosperity. Price Ali Seraj is a vital component to this process.

I wish him the best of luck, he is following the right track and I hope the world see that too.
