The Mole area in Swakopmund is playing host to a remake of a popular British television series from the 60’s, ‘The Prisoner’. Set building is well underway and shooting will start in the first weeks in August according to workers on site. Apart from the sets being constructed, various historical buildings in Swakopmund will also be featured locations for filming.
The filmmakers are using Walvis Bay as a base and other locations for filming include the Rossmund golf course. The series will consist of six episodes and will be released in 2009 according to the official website, theprisoneronline.com.
