Pro-Family Attrny Matt Barber Rebukes Obama for Gay Pride Month
Pro-family Christian attorney and cultural affairs director for Liberty Counsel Matt Barber has said that President Barack Obama is "perpetuating perversion" by playing into the hands of the homosexual lobby, in his recent declaration of June as official "Gay Pride Month".
On May 28, President Obama issued a proclamation declaring June as "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month." He is the second president to make such a proclamation, Bill Clinton being the first. (See earlier article) Matt Barber, director of cultural affairs at Liberty Counsel, points to scripture found in Isaiah 5:20 which says, "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil."
Barber contends that like Clinton before him, Obama has abused the office of presidency in order to raise up abhorrent behaviors and psychological illnesses such as cross-dressing and gender confusion.
Barber contends these are behaviors which scripture unequivocally and repeatedly designates as an abomination to God, and he says it is clear that the president is endorsing secular humanism.
"The left perpetuates and pushes this secular humanist cult religion on our culture and in society at the expense of those who adhere to and honor traditional values and notions of biblical sexual morality," Barber explains.
A Camouflage and Smokescreen
Barber adds that President Obama is helping homosexual activists in their campaign to convince America that they are victims of discrimination and persecution, just like racial minorities. He feels they have hijacked and co-opted the language of the genuine civil rights movement "in order to perpetuate perversion." and used the languaging of the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s as a ruse and clever camouflage with which to advance their own private and divergent agenda.
CitizenLink has its own post regarding Barber:
Matt Barber, Associate Dean of the Liberty University School of Law, said gay activists are putting on the pressure.
"President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid," he said, "have signed off wholesale on every demand of the extreme special interest groups pushing this homosexual agenda."
In the recent past, Mr. Barber has likened gay marriage to "someone marrying a house plant", and called the "homosexual lobby in America" purveyors of evil and decadence.
Barber's colleague asserted at a CPAC convention that gay marriages will "raise violent children", and a country of criminals.
Barber assailed President Obama last year at an AFTAH (Americans for the Truth About Homosexuality) press conference.
