9th Circuit Court Upholds Stay on Judge Walker Ruling Until December

Overruling the decision of Judge Vaughn Walker, Ninth Circuit judges Sidney Thomas, Edward Levy and Michael Daly Hawkins extended the stay on the Prop 8 ruling until December 6, when the three judges will hear the merit appeal.

In their brief, the judges wrote, "In addition to any issues appellants wish to raise on appeal, appellants are directed to include in their opening brief a discussion of why this appeal should not be dismissed for lack of Article III standing."

Two of the judges were appointed by Democrats, the other by a Republican. The panel has ordered all arguments to be filed by Monday.

Nevermind public sentiment.  When you find yourself celebrating in the streets next to Lady Gaga about gay marriage, or any other moral issue for that matter, keep in mind she recently spent $5,000 on a "ghost-busting" machine to shoo away all those persistent evil spirits who seem to enjoy her company.
