Paris may the 10th. 2008

Following the controversies of the violent repression of the Tibetan riots in China - along with the approaching launching of the 2008 Olympic Games in China -, a new demonstration was Organized in solidarity with the Tibetan people in Paris.

A small group of people (a few hundreds) started from Denfert Rochereau up to the Peace wall (situated on the extremityin of the Champs de Mars) to claim their rights as an autonomous people in the Democratic Republic of China. Despite the recent meetings in between Tibetan & Chinese Representative, they are afraid it is a way for China to calm the situation down and have a "proper situation" for the time of the Olympic games only, without any long-term progress for the Tibetan situation.
