Protest held at NYC Building Site for Islam center and mosque

Today there were crowds of Americans protesting the NYC site where an Islam center and mosque is supposed to be constructed.
A mosque is a church for the people who worship Allah and believe that in order to reach him they must kill, destroy and wipe out their enemies in the name of religion if they feel their enemies are not following the Quran.
Death is not feared by Islam followers. I's a welcome path to eternal love in the eyes of most Muslims.
This morning demonstrators against the construction carried signs that associated Islam with blood and the other supporters in favor of the new mosque shouted, "Say no to racist fear!"
Two construction project supervisors defended their plans but one suggested that his organization may look for an alternative site.
Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, said during his Middle East trip that "the attention generated by the project is actually positive and I hope it will bring a greater understanding to Americans."
Opponents of the $100 million project two blocks from the World Trade Center site appeared to outnumber supporters. Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA" blared over loudspeakers as mosque opponents chanted, "No mosque, no way!" Signs hoisted by dozens of protesters standing behind police barricades read "SHARIA" - using dripping, blood-red letters to describe Islam's Shariah law, which governs the behavior of Muslims.

I think those associated with Cardoba Initiative must abandon the plan of construction of a mosque not only at proposed site but at any other site.It's sheer waste of 100 million $.Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is playing in the hands of enemies of Muslims,the American conservatives.Abandoning project doesn't mean surrender.Majority of Christians and Jews are not against the construction of mosque;it is handful mischief-mongers who want an issue to register their nuisance value.Imam Feisal too is behaving that way.
Construction of mosque won't benefit the community in any sense,spiritual or material.The over zealous religiousity has done more harms to Muslims than all other combined factors.Religious sentiments are more dangerous than bombs or other lethal weapons.It holds true of followers of any religion.In Islam mosque means where you bow your head to Allah,it could be an open ground,a simple quarter and not necessarily a grand and palatial building.

I believe that everyone is equal and that any true God would never want others to kill in his name. I also think that there are so many out there that do not agree with the building of this Islam center. I feel the same way, I do not agree with it, I feel that it is a slap in the face. I mean why do they have to build there, why this spot, why not anywhere else? No one deserved to die that sad day and I feel that their memory should live on with love in our hearts. People burn the flag and talk negative things about Americans and now want to build this building? All that will come of this will be violence, protest and more hate. Whom ever agreed to this building going up is a sick sick man. I hope that they will realize what they are doing and move the building.
