A protest rally of about 100 representatives of Georgian United Trade Union is being held at Igoeti village, where the first checkpoint of Russian occupation armies is located.
‘You cannot make Georgia to bring to its knees with bombing’; ‘There is no place for aggressors in Georgia’, ‘It’s time to go home’ – the protest rally is being held with these slogans under the background of Georgian hymn.
Chairman of the United Trade Union Irakli Petriashvili is participating in the rally.
The rally participants have already passed Russian block-post. The Russians have not prevented them in passing. They have made a corridor on the both sides of the road and thus appeal them to go home.
‘We’ll hold rallies every day until occupants don’t leave Georgian territory. We don’t allow ignoring of Georgia’s interests. In case if Russian occupants don’t leave Georgia, trade unions will organize multi-thousand rallies’, Irakli Petriashvili stated.
The rally is being held for the moment. It should be noted that Russian militants don’t interfere with the rally.
