Hundreds of people were marching through Leeds city centre for stop of the Israeli assault on Gaza. On the weekend of January the 17th protesters were seen marching down one of the main roads in Leeds city centre for the thrid consecutive week. They were heard shouting "Palestine will be free" and "free free palestine". Many of the protesters were holding signs saying things such as "Freedom for Palestine" and " Gaza stop the massacre". The protests did not continue as on the next day after the march Israel called a ceasefire saying they had achieved their aims in Gaza. The question from this arises were the protests successful?
