Mr. Rosenthall is founder and President of The Rosenthall Group, Inc. His career began as a mortgage banker with The Kimbrough Investor Company of Jackson, Mississippi in 1973. Subsequently, he became a Mortgage Loan Officer. In that position, he applied his skills to real estate underwriting and loan portfolio management. After completing HUD training, he was also authorized to process subdivisions and subsidized multifamily housing development loans. Mr. Rosenthall had several years of government employment including a Postmaster for the US Postal Services and a staff manager for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where he acquired experience in major developing projects.($3 billion Tenn-Tom, water project, $50 million Red-River Development and many others). After government employment, Mr. Rosenthall was one of the founders of the first African American Bank in Mississippi. His successful structure the real estate department and increased African American home ownership in Jackson, Mississippi be 13% in three years. Rosenthall is the project manager for the $1 billion Entertainment District in the rebuilding process in New Orleans.
Mr. Rosenthall acquired a vast knowledge of financing homes for very low, low and moderate income families. After banking, he work as a developer/builder for Jenkins Realty where he was responsible for manufacturing and marketing modular homes, land acquisition, real estate marketing and large-scale developments. Mr. Rosenthall has aggressively and successfully acquired residential and commercial properties for development and investment purposes. He has been involved in the development and financing of over 3000 housing units in Pennsylvania, Louisiana, and Mississippi. He has quality proven experience in State and Federal Housing programs including Tax Credits programs, HUD grants/programs, bond financing and Federal Home Banks/grants/loan funding. After the 2005 hurricanes he serviced as a affordable housing consultant for FEMA and HUD in Mississippi and Louisiana. He has developed comprehensive strategic affordable housing plans for cities in Mississippi and Louisiana. Mr. Rosenthall received an undergraduate degree in science from Jackson State University and pursued a MBA in graduate studies at the same University. In 2005 he founded The Rosenthall Group. He has serviced as board member for a bank, Chamber of Commerce, The Presidential Business Advisory Council, Congressional Black Caucus Brain Trust and Forbes Advisory Panel.
