Queens Christmas speech Broadcast 2007 - From Royal Channel

The Queen will deliver her speech from Buckingham Palace tomorrow to the world, and she will focus on the impact of the global financial crisis this year.

"Christmas is a time for celebration. But this year it is a more sombre occasion for many," the 82-year-old monarch will say.

"Some of those things which could once have been taken for granted suddenly seem less certain and, naturally, give rise to feelings of insecurity."

"People are touched by events which have their roots far across the world," she will say. "Whether it is the global economy or violence in a distant land, the effects can be keenly felt at home."

The Queen writes her own speech, and she will also talk about her family, including Prince Charles' 60th birthday and will even show some footage of her playing with him when he was just one year old.
The message will be broadcast on television, radio, and YouTube.

She is with out a doubt a remarkable Woman and yet I can not help but feel sorry for Prince Charles. Yet her speeches are usually impressive.

This video that I posted is from 2007. Check it out. Youtube also has done some other interesting renditions of what this year's speech will be.
