Queers United Says CBS Rejected 5 Pro Gay Super Bowl Commercials
According to Queers United, CBS is 'pandering' to anti-gay, right-wing organizations and rejecting commercials that feature gay advocacy or a gay themes during the Super Bowl.
Five pro-gay commercials were rejected between 2004-2010. During the same time period CBC accepted a, controversial ad from anti-gay organization Focus on the Family, which allegedly 'pandered' to the right-wing American Family Association over gay affection on As The World Turns, and received a failing grade from GLAAD for lack of LGBT coverage.
On February 3rd, CBS.com and CBS hosted their greatest Super Bowl Commercials; pro-gay commercials were not featured.

They should present both sides but they also look at what sells best.

Thank you, 158. I agree that both sides should be presented. However (and personally), I would probably not approve of half of those commercials. Honestly, I don't know what people are thinking at times (gay or straight:)).

I agree. At times it seems TV picks the worst commercials to air. On reason I seldom watch TV.

It is clever journalism, however, not objective nor truthful journalism.
CBS seems to conduct journalism more like a sales men does sale a product, only here they sales a view and gently push the audience into the right corner.
They must have learned from Zig Zigler.

"CBS accepted a controversial ad from anti-gay organization Focus on the Family"
While that statement may be "factually" true, in the context of this article it is blatantly misleading.
The ad that Focus on the Family ran had absolutely no bearing on anything to do with homosexuals - unless we are to presume that being pro-family and pro-life, makes it somehow "anti-gay" by implication.
